Designs for kitchens and bathrooms, with better living in mind
Welcome to the new website for Positive Transitions Design.
At Positive Transitions Design, we design and specify interiors. Most of our business is kitchen and bath design and specification for new construction or remodels. In addition to kitchen and bath design, we design closets, laundry rooms and other storage areas of the home. Wouldn't it be nice to have a well organized laundry room; a cozy den with a well designed entertainment center, perhaps including a wet bar? You dream it and I will design it.
I also offer services for what is called "aging in place". Should you be someone who is in that position, or know someone who is, this type of design incorporates universal design and adaptive design as well as other design concepts, which address all sorts of personal issues. For a kitchen, the design might add newer forms of storage like rollouts and pullouts, to be used for easier placement and retrieval of items. In a bathroom it might mean replacing an old tub with a curbless shower and a hand held shower head and , as well as, better lighting.
In keeping with aging in place philosophy, Positive Transitions Design also offers "Seating Solutions". Seating solutions finds quality seating to fit the size of the person, tall or small, we find seating for all.
The geographic area we mostly service is northern Colorado: Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, Erie, Westminster, Superior, and the surrounding areas. I come to you. My one hour initial consultation is free.
